A week with family

Last week meme and dedda came to see me. We went to the mall, outlets and to the farm. I had a lot of fun spending time with them and reading stories.
Then Saturday we went back to the farm and rode some of the rides. Sunday we went to the park to play and ride bikes.

Park and Farm

Yesterday at a park on Mercer Island. We really liked the slides and the cool roof like hills.

I LOVED riding the ponies. I rode them 3 times.

Cougar Mountian Zoo

Today mama took Gibo and I to Cougar Mountain Zoo. I saw a cougar, reindeer, macaws, cranes, tigers, emus, alpacas, lemurs, and meerkats. The tigers were my favorite. One was white with black stripes and he sat against the fence and was talking. The cougar just sat in the shade. The lemurs were really loud. The cranes had big yellow feathers on the top of their heads. I had a lot of fun with mama and Gibo. I think Gibo liked the macaws and alpacas best.

Fantastic weekend

Our 4th of July weekend was firework free but it was a lot of fun. We all went to the park. To KidsQuest and I saw my first movie in the theater, UP.
Right now I am very interested in airplanes. Baba and I read a book about the different types of aircraft every night. Gibo is getting a lot of new teeth this week and he is feeling very yucky.

I am 3!

Yesterday was my 3rd birthday! We celebrated on Saturday with cake and presents. Mama finally remembered to take out the birthday hats too. Mama made me a vanilla cake with whip cream and strawberries. Then I had 3 pink candles on it.

Updates

Since mama no longer has a computer don't expect too many pictures unless baba takes the time to help me blog.
Gibo celebrated his 1st birthday. We had cake and opened presents. He is a monkey like me. We both try to climb everything possible. He is up to 7 steps at a time and has his first pair of shoes.
My birthday is coming up soon and I am excited about 3 pink candles on a cake.
Ali, who now lives with us, spends most of his day working on Algerbra. He starts summer school July 1st.

Another visit to California

Gibo likes to color with me now.

Mama, Gibo, and I took off for California last week. We spent our weekends with Grammy and Papa and weekdays with Ali, Hana, and Kareem.

I loved rocking out Guitar Hero style.

I had a lot of fun with my cousins.

More family came to visit!!

Last Wednesday I woke up to find that uncle Hassan and uncle Mohamed came the night before.

I took drew a picture of the visitors without any help..

They stayed an extra two days than planned to see Gibo and I swim

I also showed them how well I ride my bike.

Growing

Gibo now spends a lot of time each day pushing around cars and dribbling balls around the house. He stands for seconds on his own, pulls himself up and tries to walk down a stair, and is starting to eat one solid meal a day.


I love to watch Gibo swim. I am becoming more proficient with scissors and using a writing instrument, thanks to my new Kumon books.

A quick trip

On Thursday we went to California.

Here is Gibo looking at the fish.

We all went to Uncle Matt and Aunt Andrea's wedding. I was a flower girl.


Baba took a lot of pictures while Gibo and I played in the grass.

A morning of fun

Today mama took us to play at KidsQuest.

Growing bigger everyday...

Gibo and I are growing bigger everyday. Gibo cruises the furniture (walks holding on), dances to music while holding on to furniture, shakes his head no when he doesn't agree, and he is starting to put things in his mouth. I am putting letters together to make my own (made-up) words with mama and enjoy hiding and peek-a-boo with my brother. We love to run around screaming for fun. Baba also taught me how to open the refridgerator this week.

Looking back

Today we made a fort with mama in the living room.



Gibo and I had fun crawling inside the fort.


On Monday we went to Dizzy's. It is an indoor play area. I colored a picture.

Climbed a wall. Jumped on a trampoline and played basketball.


Last week Gibo and I played with a big box. Gibo wanted inside, but I wouldn't let him.

So he decided to shut me inside.

We played peek-a-boo.


Gibo had a good time.
