My First Birthday Party

This weekend I celebrated my first birthday with my family. We had the party at Uncle Amr's and Aunt Sherifa's. Meme and Deda, my cousins, Ryan and Karen, Grammy and Grandpa, and Uncle Rob were all there.



We had good food. Mama made my cake. Everyone sang happy birthday to me. Mama helped me blow out the candle and then I opened presents.



I got 2 cute outfits and a jean jacket from Ryan and Karen. A doggy with clothes from Hana. Money from Deda. A beautiful brooch with earrings from Meme (it use to belong to someone who lived long before I was born.) A cute strawberry outfit from Aunt Sherifa and family. A baby doll with clothes from Uncle Rob. And a Leap Frog radio from Grammy and Grandpa.



After the party we spent the night at Aunt Sherifa's and mama, Hana and I slept in the tent in the backyard. It was Hana and I's first time sleeping in a tent.

In the morning we got up and took Meme and Deda to the airport. Today Aunt Sherifa and my cousins will be following behind them. I am kind of sad. They are going to be gone all summer. :(

My adventures

So last week I went to Seattle. Mama and I spent most of the week walking around the Pioneer and Market areas. I got to spend a few days with Uncle Matt. We went to all the local toy stores. Mama bought me a drum, which I love to bang, and some crayons for later.




Today I ate some yogurt and I wanted to feed myself so mommy let me. I made a big mess but it was fun.



Then only moments ago Mama pulled me away from "fixing" Baba's video games and I took 4 steps by myself.

I am for sure up to 8 teeth..maybe 9 I won't let mama see.

I am having my birthday party this weekend with my family even though I don't turn 1 for one more week.

This weekend I started drinking from real glass cups. Mama or baba hold it for me and I drink.

My weekend

This weekend I went to San Francisco. It was my second time. I met Ali, Kareem, Amr, and deda there. We walked around and ate lunch there.








Sunday I met up with my friend Emmy. We went for a walk together and played at a park. We even took turns playing on the swings. Emmy is really good at swinging. I was clapping for her. Emmy even shared her toys with me and we talked about important baby things.

Memorial Day Weekend

So last weekend mama and baba rented a big van and we picked up meme, deda, and Hana and we went on a long drive. We stopped and ate lunch at a big place with checkered table clothes, I had the watermelon.

After our meal baba drove some more while Hana and I took a nap. Then we arrived at a big hotel and I went swimming with mama, baba, and Hana.

Later we played games and I crawled around the hotel room and had lots of fun playing with Hana.

Then I fell asleep and deda, baba, mama, and Hana ate dinner.

The next day we ate breakfast and went exploring at a big park. Hana, mama, and I went on the slides. Later that day, we all got on our pretty close and drove out to the country. I saw Ryan and Karen get married. Karen looked beautiful and Ryan looked very happy.

We ate food out in a field with lots of people and then the bugs came out and we had to leave.

The next day we went and saw Ryan and Karen's house. It was the most beautiful house I have ever seen. It even had it's very own doggy. Baba said, Ryan and Karen spent along time fixing up their house. While I was there, I enjoyed some watermelon. Thanks Ryan and Karen!!

After breakfast we all got back in the big white van and drove Hana home. I had a lot of fun on my adventures to Chico.
